Indeed the issue of data protection and privacy is addressed, which must be protected in all cases. In legal terms, it is possible for companies to use geofencing and beacons as a marketing tool, provided that the user has accepted the regulations in force and can refuse to receive push messages at any time. Safety and ergonomics are therefore the most important aspects. However, poorly applied, this technology could have fatal consequences in terms of customer loyalty.
